Circular Economy imitates the behavior of nature, where everything that is created or manufactured, once damaged or useless, serves as raw material for a new product. Produce, use and throw? No, reduce, reuse and recycle.

How does the circular economy work?
What are the benefits for small, medium and large companies in adopting circular initiatives?
How can the circular economy offer opportunities for economic growth, a new social contract and greater wellbeing?

OMINA Foundation in collaboration with the Dutch Foundation Ex’Tax Project, are pleased to present the Circular Economy Seminar with the international expert Femke Groothuis, founder of the think tank Ex’Tax.

Femke Groothuis is co-founder and president of The Ex’tax Project, a think tank focused on fiscal innovations to boost the SDGs and the inclusive, circular economy. The foundation works with experts and business leaders to enhance understanding of the dynamics of a tax shift from labour to natural resource use and pollution. Groothuis is an analyst, adviser, publicist and public speaker and has 20 years of experience in sustainability and business. Between 1999 and 2009, Groothuis was Investment Manager at Ex’tent Green Venture Capital, a Dutch impact investment fund. She is a political scientist specialised in sustainability and international relations

The seminar will consist of 3 sessions that will be held on Monday 24, Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 of June from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the auditorium of Texas Tech University located at Avenida Escazú, San José, Costa Rica.
