Impact Projects

OMINA builds ambitious partnerships with governments, institutions, and individuals in order to improve lives and communities.

We focus on developing projects with native communities because, despite contributing the least to its causes, they are among the most severely affected by climate change. These communities consciously preserve biodiversity and their ecosystems, work actively to resist deforestation and mineral extraction, and counteract the expansion of monocrop plantations simply by protecting their land. In short, their way of life, knowledge and traditional practices play a key role to mitigate global warming.
