Swapping is the new shopping! In conjunction with the 2018 Summit, OMINA hosted Costa Rica’s first major fashion swap party in partnership with Global Fashion Exchange. The hugely successful event saw summit attendees swap hundreds of garments.
OMINA partnered with Global Fashion Exchange –an international platform promoting sustainability in the fashion industry through forums, educational content and cultural events– to bring Costa Rica’s biggest swap party to 2018’s OMINA Summit attendees.
Participants brought their used clothes (that were still in good condition) to the 2018 OMINA Summit’s swap party where they renewed their own wardrobes in exchange for their old. By swapping instead of chucking, participants saved their unwanted garments from ending up in landfill.
