OMINA MENTORSHIPS

Vital Voices Costa Rica is an NGO that works for gender equality. In 2018, and in partnership with OMINA, four young female entrepreneurs participated in a special mentoring program tailored to help them establish their goals and objectives in order to strengthen their leadership skills.

Participating in the 2018 program were: Consuelo Melo, Creative Director and Founder of Muss Muss Clothing; Pamela Hernández, Creative Director and Founder of Cruda; Melissa Quirós, Marketing and Operations Director of Hija de Tigre; and Amira Jalet, jewelry designer.

Watch the short films below where they describe their experience.

“I’m leaving with more tools to keep my company going. There is no greater benefit than being comfortable and happy with what I do.”

Pamela Hernández, Cruda

“I was able to accept several things about myself to become the woman I want and take Muss Muss where I want.”

Consuelo Melo, Muss Muss

“This mentorship helped me to be more down-to-earth and less anxious. Now I can think things calmly and in greater depth. I understood that I have the ability to reinvent myself without following social norms.”

Melissa Quirós, Hija de Tigre

“This mentorship helped me organize my ideas and promoted a change in the design line of my company in order to make it sustainable.”

Amira Jalet, Contemporary Art Designer
